Community Service Project Directorate (CSPD) as the name implies, aims to directly target and benefit our Indian community through the service-oriented projects we take on. With mental health as the main theme in mind, our five-member team started out with plans to engage the Indian public at Tekka market, Little India, in an engaging mini-interview session to get their opinions on the Mental Health and Disorder Issues within the Tamil community in Singapore. It was a way of spreading awareness of these taboo topics to the Tamil youth and community. These mini-interview sessions were documented together and posted on our social media platforms for the wider audience.

 

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued to engage our Tamil community. For the first time ever, NUS TLS has ventured into Spotify and our CSPD directorate have published an eye-opening podcast series 'Spicing Up Wellness', prepared and recorded by themselves. The guest speakers have experience and knowledge in the professional field and have shared their opinions and tips when it comes to taking care of mental health and personal wellbeing. This was our way of giving back to the wider community.
