Saadhana Mentorship 2022 aims to conduct a general session about university life that is relevant for all majors, and then talk a bit more about the specific programs available at NUS, especially the newer ones such as College of Humanities and Science (CHS) and College of Design and Environment (CDE). We also hope to inform them of the opportunities available at NUS so that they capitalize on them once they are here. We decided on these as our goals since we are able to provide JC2, NSFs, and Poly Year 3 students, with firsthand advice on what to expect in university and how it is different. By doing so, we hope that they will be at a better position to tackle the new challenges that they might face in university.

 

We hope to achieve our aims through various program segments that focusses on Academics, Application Processes, Housing and Campus Life in University. We have also consolidated an Information E- Booklet which includes the Financial aid process, School fees for the various courses, Overview of halls, residential colleges, and student residences, CCA details and Uni/RC hall life. The E-Booklet also includes brief comparison of academic policies, and course offerings that might differ between NUS and other local universities. We will also be interacting with them through a Telegram group. The group provides the students with a platform to ask any questions regarding life in NUS and for us to directly address them.
